The principle of operation of the HRD explosion suppression system is to dilute the explosive concentration of dust by quickly spraying the powder inside the process equipment, due to which the explosion is suppressed at its early stage, when the explosion pressure is still at values safe for the equipment.

The explosion sensor constantly evaluates the presence of flame or pressure, when an explosion is detected, the sensor sends a signal to the Conex controller which activates the HRD container, which sprays powder inside the equipment within milliseconds, thereby suppressing the explosion in the equipment.

The HRD system has two explosion detection sensor options: DetEx pressure sensor and LumEx optical sensor. The sensor takes readings in real time and sends them to the ConEx controller. HRD container

The main component of the explosion suppression system is the HRD container in which the powder is stored.
