Operating principle of Flex flameless explosion venting
- VMP Explosion venting panel
- Flame filter

During normal operation of the process equipment, the venting panel hermetically closes the ventilation hole, in the event of an explosion, a sharp pressure surge occurs inside the equipment, which, when reaching a value of 0.1 bar, ruptures the venting panel, releasing excess pressure and flame into the flame filter, which in turn reduces the temperature gases and effectively filter the flame by releasing warm air from the equipment. Thus, the flex protects process equipment and personnel in the event of an explosion.
