The B-Flap is a device that guarantees the isolation of an explosion in the ducts, protecting adjacent equipment from secondary explosions that can result from pressure and flame propagated through the ducts, ensuring the safety of the system.

During normal operation of the system, the damper inside the check valve is in the open position, allowing air and product to flow freely through the valve. In the event of an explosion, pressure and flame spread through the air ducts, reaching the check valve, the pressure wave closes the damper, which is fixed by the RPD mechanism and remains in the closed position. Thus, the check valve isolates the spread of explosion through the air ducts, preventing the risk of secondary explosions in adjacent equipment.
