The technological line of any grain storage begins with intake pit, from truck or rail transport. In the process of unloading the transport, a large amount of harmful, explosive dust is released.
We have installed dust collection system for intake pits, based on dust collecting walls, which allows you to effectively remove dust released during the unloading of transport.
Solutions and equipment used:
Filtration: Intake pit filter enable efficient dust removal and return dust to the intake pit, eliminating product weight loss.
Safety: The removal of explosive dust from the reception area reduced the potentially explosive zone from Zone 21 to Zone 22. The reduction of the explosive zone allowed the installation of ATEX CAT 3D electrical components, which greatly reduced the cost of electrical components and the potential for dust explosions.
Advantages:
Efficiency: qualified calculation of aerodynamic air flows allowed to effectively remove dust with low performance of the fan.
Safety: the reduction of the explosive zone has reduced the risk of dust explosion.
Ecology: the dust collection system made it possible to improve working conditions for personnel and ensured emissions of <10 mg/m3.
